MASH Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA)
30 hours per week (Contract to 31st March 2021)
In partnership with Blackpool Unitary Authority, Fylde Coast Women’s Aid are pleased to advertise this exciting new post.
The post will be co-located within the Blackpool Safeguarding Hub, and part of the successful candidates role will be to help raise the wider teams awareness, identification and response to those experiencing domestic violence/abuse and to work within a multi-agency arena to improve partnership responses to domestic violence/abuse.
The successful candidate will provide a high-quality frontline service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a service to those at risk, whilst working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse. They will also be expected to work with referrers to navigate services so that the families being referred are accessing the right services at the right time with regards to domestic violence and abuse. Previous experience of directly supporting vulnerable adults and an understanding of the dynamics of domestic and sexual abuse is essential.
This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and clearance
