Outreach Service

Outreach: support in the heart of the community

FCWA’s outreach workers provide a flexible, needs-led service tailored to individual needs. They offer support to women who have left their partner, as well as those who are currently living in an abusive relationship. They can discuss and advise on the best options to suit the woman’s current situation.

How our outreach workers can help you

We enable you to acquire the skills necessary for an independent lifestyle.

We can discuss and advise on options best suited to your current situation.

We provide information, support and guidance in a variety of areas dependent upon your individual needs.

We encourage and empower you to move on in your life towards independence and supporting you with resettlement.

We will ensure that you have the opportunity to be involved in planning and review processes of the services offered.

We will liaise with other agencies on your behalf and support you through the criminal, civil and family legal proceedings.

Community drop-in groups

Our community drop-in support groups provide a warm and friendly welcome. We offer peer support and the chance for you to meet other women with similar experiences. As well as offering practical support the drop-ins are very informal and include lots of humour and laughter.

For details of the times and locations of our drop-ins, please call our helpline on 01253 596699.
