Position Title: IRIS Advocate Educator
Full time: 37.5 hours per week

In partnership with Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and IRISi interventions Fylde Coast Women’s Aid are pleased to advertise this exciting new post.
The Advocate Educator will support and provide on-going training for health professionals in general practice on understanding and responding to domestic violence and abuse (DVA)
In addition the post holder will provide individual needs-led information, support and advocacy to patients experiencing DVA. The right applicant will provide pro-active and structured services, whilst developing personal support packages that focus on risk management and safety planning.
Previous experience of directly supporting vulnerable adults and an understanding of the dynamics of domestic and sexual abuse is essential.
This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and clearance

Job Title: Family Support Safeguarding Officer
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, flexibility required
Annual leave: 22 days per annum (pro rata) plus bank holidays
Salary: £22,000 to £23,500
Location: Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde
Responsible to: Service Manager
Qualification: An appropriate social care qualification equivalent to at least NVQ level 3. Successful applicant may be required to undertake additional training.
This role is subject to successful references and an enhanced DBS check.

MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB
To work with families with social care involvement, with the aim of deescalating and removing the need for social care involvement.
To provide focused family support to families with complex needs which improves parenting capacity and increases skill, confidence and abilities of all family members to live their lives in a positive and safe way.
To advocate on behalf of women at multi agency meetings
PERSON SPECIFICATION OVERVIEW
This is a skilled role requiring an individual who would have social care background, experience of multi-agency working, working with other professionals and working with mothers and their children. A confident communicator, the successful applicant would also be experienced in report writing.
